I Miss You Erin
24 hours of work is standing in my way of seven days at the beach
I love work and work loves me
I've never been so in love with the sun as I am today
I'm not sure about mornings.......I do not think we are friends
I'm no superman and obviously I've been watching too many scrubs episodes
Is off to work to spread some good cheer
Is going to buy new running shoes...I am hoping to be able to clock myself at 37mph with these new ones... on a slow day :)
Thinks being the bigger person might be a tad overrated...I'm not talking size here.
Raise your hand if you are excited for two back to back 16 hour shifts...... both my hands are up!
Today is going to be a good day, fo sho' !
Priorities
Me: Remi who do you love?
Remi: I love Cassidy.

Comb on Over
The Comb-Over as defined by the Urban Dictionary:
n., a rearrangement of surrounding hair to cover a bald spot as completely as possible. Usually accomplished by flattening strands of hair in widely-spaced parallel stripes across the afflicted region. Rarely successful, often calls attention to the follically-challenged zone in question.
Sentence:
John painstakingly arranged the twenty-four remaining hairs (down two from yesterday!) flat across the center of his balding pate. He separated the strands for maximum coverage, then secured and shined them with a dab of Vitalis conditioner.

Bringing Back the Fanny Pack
There's a strong possibility Cassidy will hire an attorney and divorce me as her parent after she reads this. As I was folding the laundry yesterday, Sydney took a pair of Cassidy's underwear from the basket. She put them on just the same as she did Remi's karate pants. Check out her nifty little fanny pack:

When Matt Met Harry
Matt came into the kitchen yesterday looking like this:

He never said why.........

So I had to draw my own conclusion.

My guess is that he was doing his best impression of this:

The Trendsetter
Sydney has decided to be a fashion designer. Below is a sample piece from her summer 2010 baby line. Yesterday, she came running through the house wearing a pair of Remi's karate pants on her head. As I was preparing my camera, she pulled the waist of the pants and one of the legs completely over her head and shoulders creating a baby tube top.

Remi's Fractured Nose Day 3
Remi's nose looks a little better today. Unfortunatley, I can't say the same for her left cheek and eyes. In the last photograph Remi is jumping on the bed again. I took the picture right before I decided to ground her until she's old enough to buy beer.

Halloween 2009

Our Halloween weekend was perfect all except for the part when Remi broke her nose. I have to assume she was jumping on the bed because there were no witnesses. I think she misjudged her bed-jumping capabilities and took a nose dive directly onto the bed frame. Typically, Remi has a tomboy type tolerance to pain. Her usual post injury response is "I'm alright, I'm fine." Not this time though, I heard a thump and a scream followed by a (I'm really hurt and half of my bones are sticking out of my body) cry. Her left eye is beginning to bruise this morning and she still has some swelling beside her nose.

Boo Boo Kitty. Remi chose a cat costume this year. She had me put a band aid on her nose. It was the only way she would go out in public with a bruise on her face.

The Pound Purries. These two should have their own reality show

Pound Puppy and one of the Pound Purries.

Can you see Sydney in this picture? Hint: with arms wide open

Pound Puppy. No, she's not wearing shoes. It was 78 degrees outside
